Well done to Mary Hughan who ran the Bath Half in support of 40tude on Sunday 16th March!

“I signed up to the Bath Half last September - I haven’t done one since the Great North Run in 2000,” says Mary. “I’d slightly forgotten that I don’t massively enjoy running and the training takes way more time than I actually have… and I’m also fully aware that many people undertake far more impressive challenges than this one.”

In taking on this half marathon, Mary chose to support both 40tude and Cure Parkinson’s.

“These charities are particularly important to me so I wanted to take the opportunity to raise a few pounds for them:  Parkinson’s = for my dad, who would be running with me if his body allowed it.  40tude = for too many friends.

“If you can, please give generously and if you can’t (or want to save your pennies for somebody more deserving), that’s totally fine too but the one thing I would ask is for you to look at the 40tude website. It could be a lifesaver.”

Thank you Mary for all you are doing to help promote awareness of colon cancer, and the importance of getting tested for this treatable disease.  We are very proud of you for completing the Bath Half!
