Our Ambassadors

At 40tude, we are proud to have the following ambassadors:

Sadly when Chris was only 13 years old he lost his father to colon cancer.  Naturally, Virgin Radio DJ Chris is immensely supportive of 40tude's efforts to tackle this disease.

Fergal Keane, 40tude ambassadorFergal Keane

Fergal has been a BBC correspondent since 1988 during which time he has won numerous awards for his reporting from conflict zones. The loss of a beloved aunt to bowel cancer inspired his decision to support 40tude.

Andy Nicol

Andy was the first British player to lift the Heineken Cup as captain of Bath Rugby. Educated at the Hight School of Dundee, Andy’s first cap was against England in 1992. He went on to win 23 caps overall for Scotland, captaining the side seven times, including the 2000 Calcutta Cup win. He went on two tours with the British Lions in 1993 and 2001, playing alongside his fellow Scot and 40tude ambassador, the late Tom Smith. Since retiring Andy has been a pundit for BBC, BT Sport and STV, and a columnist for the Scottish Daily Mail. He is also the CEO of ABSTRACT, a consultancy specialising in people and team development.

Gregor Townsend

Gregor won 82 caps for Scotland and played with Tom Smith at club level at Northampton and Brive. Most famously they played together for the 1997 British & Irish Lions when the team beat the Springboks 2-1.

Gregor is currently the Head Coach of the Scottish national rugby union team.

Legendary Scottish half-backs Gregor Townsend and Andy Nicol played together 13 times for Scotland and are reunited to become Ambassadors for 40tude to help cure bowel cancer in memory of their team-mate and our former ambassador, the late Tom Smith.
