Well done to Paula Howell who completed the Kirkbymoorside 10k run on 4th May in memory of her father-in-law Merv Howell. 

Sadly Merv died from colon cancer in March this year.  Thanks to Paula's care, he was able to stay with his family at home, as was his wish. 

In Merv's memory Merv Paula decided to take on this challenge, raising both awareness and funds for 40tude.  

"The Kirkbymoorside 10k was a great re introduction for running again after 19 years!

I ran comfortably and was back at 60 minutes 23 seconds. It didn’t disappoint with the beautiful views and cool weather with a sprinkling of rain at the end, just enough to cool us down.

I will take part in other runs this year and will again try to raise funds for 40tude"
