We’re delighted that Sigma Precision Components has now launched our exciting new initiative to encourage its employees to get tested for colon cancer.

Sigma is partnering with 40tude as part of our ‘Half:Time Test’ Campaign, an exciting new programme developed recently by 40tude to make colon cancer testing more accessible to people at the mid-point (or ‘Half:Time’) of their lives.

The company is offering all of its staff - some of whom may not yet be eligible for the National Bowel Screening Programme - the opportunity to take a qFIT colon cancer test.

A qFIT (Quantitative Faecal Immunochemical Test) detects hidden blood in stool (poo).  It's a simple test that can be done at home: you collect a small amount of poo and then post the sample to a laboratory for analysis. 40tude has selected Selph, a well-regarded provider of at-home health tests, to provide these tests for its innovative programme.

“We’re excited to be partnering with 40tude to give our employees the opportunity to get tested for colon cancer,” says Angie Cooper-Mills, Sigma’s HR Manager.

“Sigma wanted to be one of the first to sign up to 40tude’s initiative and to help raise vital awareness about this type of cancer, and the fact that it can be easy to treat if it is detected early.

“We’re delighted to be sharing now with all our valued staff and customers 40tude’s vital messages and encouragement to get tested regularly for colon cancer.”
