Well done to Tom Edgar who completed the Western Australia 70.3 Ironman on Sunday 1st December, in memory of his uncle.

"Shortly after moving to Australia in November 2023, my family unfortunately lost my uncle to colon cancer," explains Tom.  "After many phone conversations with him when he was sick, he made me promise no matter what happened that I would stay in Australia and explore New Zealand (his home). Being away from family during such a tough time was incredibly challenging, and I felt compelled to take on a meaningful challenge in his memory.

"I signed up for the Western Australia 70.3 Ironman to raise awareness and funds to battle colon cancer. My parents and aunty travelled across to support me at the event, which added personal significance to the journey.

"I’ve chosen to support 40TUDE, a charity dedicated to transforming the detection and treatment of colon cancer. The funds raised will support cutting-edge research and help promote the importance of regular screening. Every contribution helps make a difference in the fight against this disease."
