Our News Brompton adopts 40tude’s Half:Time Test Campaign again this year Brompton Bicycle is marking Bowel Cancer Awareness Month by sharing 40tude’s Half:Time Test Campaign with its staff again this year. Launched in 2025, 40tude’s campaign encourages people to get tested at the mid‑point of life, from the age of 45. It also raises awareness of colon cancer symptoms, helping people recognise when to speak to a doctor – regardless of their age - because this type of cancer can be successfully treated if it is detected early. True to its innovative spirit, Brompton stepped forward last April to help 40tude pilot the programme, offering colon cancer testing to employees aged 45–49, who are not yet eligible for the National Bowel Cancer Screening Programme, which begins at 50. Brompton’s successful rollout has played a key role in helping 40tude to test and expand this initiative, with multiple other companies now on board. "Brompton has much in common with 40tude, as both organisations promote small, proactive lifestyle choices that can have a big impact on health span and wellbeing,” says GC (Grace Chatten), Brompton’s Chief People Officer. “It was an easy decision to pilot the charity’s new Half:Time Test Campaign last year, helping our staff learn more about colon cancer, its symptoms, and the importance of getting tested from the half-time of life. 40tude made the programme truly simple to implement, and we were keen to offer it again for 2026. Early diagnosis really can save lives, and being aware of colon cancer and getting tested regularly from your mid-40s is vital to enable everyone to ‘stay in the saddle as life unfolds’, it also kick started my own personal journey of cycling across the UK on my Brompton to raise funds for 40tude and my own health span spotlight. This programme is literally a no-brainer for Brompton!” Manage Cookie Preferences
